At DYSTOWNED, we believe in meaningful communication. Our marketing follows the same principles as our products: no noise, no spam, just intentional content delivered with purpose.

We only send marketing communications to those who have explicitly consented to receive them, and we make it easy to opt out at any time.

Types of Marketing Communications

Email Campaigns: Product launches, seasonal drops, exclusive access to limited releases, and brand updates.

SMS/Text Messages: Time-sensitive notifications about product availability, order updates, and exclusive early access (only with explicit consent).

Push Notifications: App-based notifications about new arrivals, restocks, and personalized recommendations.

Direct Mail: Occasional physical mailings for special releases or brand collaborations (premium customers only).

How We Obtain Consent

We obtain your consent for marketing communications through:

  • Newsletter signup forms on our website
  • Account creation process with opt-in checkboxes
  • Purchase completion with marketing consent options
  • In-store signup for physical locations
  • Social media campaigns and contests

Consent is always voluntary and clearly explained. Pre-checked boxes are never used for marketing consent.

Frequency and Content

Email Frequency: Typically 1-2 emails per week, with additional communications during product launches or special events.

SMS Frequency: Maximum 4 messages per month, primarily for urgent notifications and exclusive access.

Content Standards: All communications reflect DYSTOWNED's minimalist aesthetic and focus on product craftsmanship, authenticity, and brand philosophy.

Personalization and Targeting

We may personalize marketing communications based on:

  • Purchase history and preferences
  • Browsing behavior on our website
  • Geographic location for relevant content
  • Engagement with previous communications

Personalization helps us send more relevant content and reduces unwanted communications.

All partners are required to maintain the same privacy and security standards as DYSTOWNED and may only use your information for authorized purposes.

Opting Out

  • Reply "STOP" to any SMS message
  • Update preferences in your account settings
  • Contact us directly at marketing@dystowned.com

Opting out is immediate for future communications. You may still receive transactional messages related to your orders or account.

Data Retention

We retain marketing contact information for as long as you maintain consent or until you request deletion. Inactive subscribers may be removed after 2 years of non-engagement.

Even after opting out, we may retain your information on a suppression list to ensure we don't accidentally re-add you to marketing communications.

Compliance

Our marketing practices comply with applicable laws including:
